Guido's friendship, patience and willingness to help others has made possible my advancement in Gracie Jiu Jitsu. His knowledge and experience were key to help me improve and better understand this art. Alberto Robayo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt Main Line Gracie Jiu Jitsu Greater Philadelphia Area, US

I've been training Gracie Jiu Jitsu for 5 years, as a power athlete I had to learn how to "un-use" my strength. This was very frustrating for me however instructors such as Guido Jenniges showed me different ways on how to use my strength, stay calm and preserve my energy, I can honestly tell you my level of Jiu Jistu has elevated as well as my confidence on the mat. Guido is very fun to roll with because he allows you to focus on your weakness without you even noticing it. I have been to other schools and have rolled with other black belts which were very good, however teaching is different than rolling and I feel very luck to have Guido Jennings as Gracie Jiu Jitsu instructor. Guido is one of the most technical Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belts that I've had the pleasure to learn from. I attribute much of my recent success in the competitive Jiu Jitsu scene to his teachings. I consider myself very fortunate to have him take me under his wing as a student and a friend. As I embark on my third year of training at The Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy, I'm still trying to find my comfort level. I had no previous martial arts training before this, and the techniques do not come naturally to me. I noticed Guido Jenniges from the very start. He was a black belt helping to teach the white belts like myself, and if I was confused about a certain technique, I would just watch and listen to him, and he often would expand on the instructor's explanation, and made it much clearer to me. Guido has an active intellectual skill for teaching and executing Jiu-Jitsu, and he helped me immensely in those early days in my Jiu-Jitsu career. As my knowledge and proficiency of the technique grew, thanks in great part to Guido, the time to test for my promotion to blue belt seemed timely. I knew that having a skilled partner for the test would be important. Guido worked with me as much as I requested prior to my test on technique, mindset, and confidence.  I believe that I passed the blue belt exam on the first try because of Guido's training and mentoring me, and I am forever grateful. As I continue training in the advanced curriculum, I know I can always look to Guido Jenniges for advise and inspiration. He is patient, humble, bright, and a major asset to the entire student body. I'm sure he has helped many of my classmates, and I know that if I have a question for him, he will take the time to make sure I understand and can execute the technique. If Guido Jenniges decides to tutor students in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, I can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone, regardless of one's skill level or rank, and I'm happy to know him and have him as a friend, teacher and classmate.
